  • TWC Reinstates Work Requirements for Child Care. More information can be found here
  • The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) announced that as the Texas economy continues to open TWC will reinstate unemployment work search requirements, which had been suspended since March, but will resume on November 1, 2020. More Information can be found here.
  • The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) will host the 9th annual Hiring Red, White, and You Veteran statewide hiring event, scheduled to be held on November 5, 2020. Multiple events will be held through virtual platforms throughout the state.   • Congress set aside approximately $14.25 billion of the $30.75 billion allotted to the Education Stabilization Fund through the CARES Act for the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF).
