Training

Training providers, such as community colleges, proprietary schools, and universities, use a targeted occupation list, which is established by the Permian Basin Workforce Development Board, to develop workforce training. The occupations with the highest growth and wage potential in the Permian Basin appear on this list. The targeted occupation list is determined using historical data, TWC labor market information and local insight. The training is available to qualifying individuals.

The most current occupations with the highest growth and wage potential are listed below in “Jobs of the Future.”

Individuals interested in the Workforce Solutions Permian Basin's training services should contact the local offices to determine if they are eligible for this service. Workforce Solutions will assist qualifying individuals with the training costs who choose a training program from the targeted occupation list.
