Becoming a Child Care Services (CCS) Provider
Eligibility
- Be a licensed or registered child care provider in good standing with Child Care Regulation.
• Eligible providers include licensed centers, licensed homes, and registered homes.
Enrollment
- Sign a CCS Provider Agreement with the Child Care Services Program.
• Agree to comply with Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) rules.
Texas Child Care Connection (TX3C)
- Register and actively use the Texas Child Care Connection (TX3C) system.
• TX3C is the statewide system for provider communications, attendance, and payments.
Attendance Reporting
- Ensure daily child attendance is recorded using TX3C-approved tools.
• Notify CCS if a child is absent for five consecutive days.
Payments
- Accept TWC reimbursement rates as payment, including the parent’s share of cost.
• Payments are based on referrals reported in TX3C.
Ongoing Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with licensing standards and program rules.
• Protect family confidentiality and cooperate with monitoring reviews.
Texas Rising Star (TRS)
- Participate in the Texas Rising Star quality program as required by the Permian Basin Workforce Development Board.
• TRS participation may qualify providers for higher reimbursement rates.
